Walter Zenga says Crotone are ‘right in the thick of the battle’ after a dramatic late win at Udinese.

Davide Faraoni’s 86th minute strike enabled the Pitagorici to climb above SPAL and out of the Serie A relegation zone for the first time in several weeks.

Speaking post-match, Zenga revealed that despite the stresses of a relegation battle, he has never felt any negative pressure at Crotone.

“You can’t predict matches, you always need to go for it,” the former Wolves and Sampdoria boss said.

“We have built our performances week by week and now we are right in the thick of the battle.

“At Crotone I have never felt any negative pressure. We will suffer until the final day, although there is some regret at points we have let slip along the way.”

The Calabria club, now two points clear of the drop zone, next face Sassuolo as their fight for survival continues.
