“A break for international duty is never positive, as you lose your rhythm,” noted Zeman in a Press conference.
“Daniele Conti’s injury is not serious and he is in the squad, but we need to evaluate whether he can actually play. With two new centre-backs I need a midfielder who can also defend, so Crisetig is better off.
“In attack Victor Ibarbo will start and has huge potential, but he needs to work for the team.”
Sampdoria are the surprise package of Serie A so far this season, sitting pretty in third place and still unbeaten.
“Samp have important players, as Gabbiadini has a fierce shot from distance and often uses it to break through defences,” continued Zeman.
“What I fear about Sampdoria is their character, as it totally reflects their Coach Mihajlovic. He’s a tough one.
“This is a very good squad and their victories build confidence, while we are trying to work on our determination, especially in front of goal.”
