Zdenek Zeman was pleased with Cagliari’s 8-0 friendly win, as Andrea Cossu and Samuele Longo scored braces.

The Sardinians made short work of the Asiago Team local selection and it could’ve been more, but they rattled the frame of the goal three times and missed two penalties.

Luca Rossettini’s header, a Marco Sau spot-kick, Godfred Donsah lob and own goal rounded out the scoreline.

Cossu and Longo, who is on loan from Inter, were the stars of the show with a brace each.

Brazilian youngster Caio Rangel was impressive, providing several assists.

“I expected to see heavier legs, as we trained this morning too, but evidently we are working well,” said Coach Zeman.

“Cossu is quite small, so he gets into form quicker than the others, but I am in no rush. Lorenzo Crisetig did well filling in for Daniele Conti, as he can take on any midfield role.”

Cagliari: Cragno (Colombi 46); Balzano (Pisano 46), Rossettini, Benedetti, Murru (Avelar 46); Milinkovic (Donsah 46), Crisetig (Piredda 63), Capello (Ekdal 46); Loi (Caio Rangel 46), Sau (Longo 46), Cossu
