Coach Zdenek Zeman says he still believes in escaping relegation, but it will take the effort of 'everyone' at Cagliari.

The Czech Coach returned to the bench of the Rossoblu after Gianfranco Zola's disappointing tenure lasted less than four months. At the Press conference for his re-presentation, Zeman confirmed his beliefs.

“I believed in it once, I believe in it now,” he said, of the race against relegation.

“I asked no guarantees to the club. I won't be the one saving Cagliari, we all have to do that.

“It won't be easy, but even though there's less time now, we can still make it.

“But we need to improve, assuming we haven't forgotten the way to play.

“I want greater concentration and responsibility. We missed too many opportunities in the box.

“We must get there and always know what to do.”

“I never had a problem with any of the players. If anyone had one with me, he never told me. Our trouble was of a different kind.”

The 67-year-old also admitted that his shock return was no less surprising to him than it was to anyone else.

“I didn't think they'd call me back. I didn't expect the President to go back on his decision.

“I came back for the people of Sardinia. I want to give them something to be satisfied about.

“Let's start from here for the first home win.

“The summer transfer market? I originally asked the club for Cristiano Ronaldo,” joked Zeman.
