Torino striker Simone Zaza has been forced to pull out of the Italy squad after suffering a calf injury in training yesterday.

The 27-year-old pulled up yesterday at Coverciano, and was seen talking with team doctors while indicating a pain in his left calf.

This morning it has been confirmed that Zaza has pulled out of the squad, so he’ll return to the Granata for the international break.

The striker is the fourth player to pull out of Roberto Mancini’s squad, after Danilo D’Ambrosio, Alessio Romagnoli and Patrick Cutrone.
