Davide Zappacosta says it was “an immense feeling” to play for Torino but insists “I’m ready for this new journey” with Chelsea.
Zappacosta joined Chelsea on deadline day in a deal that could rise to €30m, but the right-back made it clear he would never forget his two-year spell with Torino.
“I want to thank, with all my heart, the Toro fans, my teammates, the President, executives and all the people I’ve met during this unforgettable experience,” he wrote in an Instagram post.

“I grew up as a man and an athlete at Torino. It was an immense feeling to wear the Granada jersey: grit, heart and passion, I’ll always carry them with me, [including] in this new adventure.
