Sky Sport Italia reported late last night that Napoli had reached an agreement in principle with Zapata’s representatives, and Fernando Villarreal says a deal is now in the hands of both club Presidents.
“No, it’s not true. They’re just market rumours,” he told Calcionapoli1926.
“Napoli contacted us and we gave them our availability, but now the Presidents have to talk to each other. There’s still no agreement.”
The Colombian scored 28 goals for Atalanta last season and, prior to that, spent five years at the San Paolo without holding down a first-team place.
