Javier Zanetti has suggested that Inter should make a bid to sign unhappy Manchester City player Carlos Tevez.

The latter, an Argentine colleague of the San Siro captain, has announced his intention to leave the Premiership club for personal reasons.

"Tevez is a player who everybody would like to have in their team," the Nerazzurri symbol stated.

"We are only at the start of the transfer market, so there could be some surprises and important moves to come."

The former West Ham player has been paired with Inter over the last few months, even if the club seemed to rule out his possible arrival.

"He is a great player but a move for him is out of the question," recently stated transfer guru Marco Branca given the high costs of the operation.
