Veteran Javier Zanetti says he has still not made a decision on whether this will be his last season as an Inter player.

The Argentine, who will be 39 in August, has one year left on his current contract with the Nerazzurri giants.

“I don't know if this will be my final season,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “On my contract it's going to be my last, but I'll see how I get on and how I feel physically.”

“I don't know if this will be my final season,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “On my contract it's going to be my last, but I'll see how I get on and how I feel physically.”

The versatile player, who can be used in defence and midfield, first joined the club in the summer of 1995 and is still one of the regulars in the side.

“As always I'm here to help the team and the club,” he said from their Pinzolo training base. “We head into this pre-season very upbeat.

“The summer preparations are different every year and there's certainly a different feel this time around.

“Some very good players are no longer here, but others who are just as good have been brought in. I like what the club is doing in the transfer market.”

Inter took the decision to confirm former youth team boss Andrea Stramaccioni during the summer after he replaced Claudio Ranieri in March.

“The Coach has a lot of personality and very clear ideas,” Zanetti added. “He's putting them across to us players, then it's up to us to put them into practice…”
