Palermo patron Maurizio Zamparini has resigned from the Board and put the club up for sale, just as they’re on the verge of promotion.
The fiery patron sacked Coach Bruno Tedino last week and brought in Roberto Stellone, despite sitting in second place in Serie B.
They have since dropped to fourth, but remain within two points of the automatic promotion spot behind Empoli.

This evening, a statement released by Palermo confirmed Zamparini had resigned as CEO and would be replaced by lawyer Andrea Bettini, whose role it is to look after “the sale of shares to future buyers.”
Zamparini has been trying to sell Palermo for several years, but a couple of different takeovers fell apart at the last minute.
