There were reports the Rosanero would pull the plug on Iachini after a 4-0 home defeat to Lazio” data-scaytid=”12″>Lazio on Monday evening.

“No, he is absolutely not at risk,” Zamparini told Radio 24. “Just as Mazzarri is not at risk after Inter conceded four goals against Cagliari” data-scaytid=”16″>Cagliari, we are not at risk either…”

The Palermo patron was also asked about the proposed new law forcing football clubs to pay for extra policing on match days at the stadium.

“It is an enormously stupid idea and we can only discuss it after the politicians start paying for their own security detail.

“I won’t go on strike, though, as I’ve never done that in my life. I will just start crying. If something like that passes into law then once again we Italians are letting ourselves get robbed by a cheating State.

“Football pays taxes worth €1.2bn, money that is also used to pay for the public services that the law is referring to.”
