Parma stopper Cristian Zaccardo has underlined how fierce the competition is in Serie A right now.
While Juventus have opened up a three-point gap at the top of the table, only six points separates sixth-placed Fiorentina and nineteenth-placed Pescara.
“The table is very short,” the 2006 World Cup winner noted. “The championship is, as was expected, very well balanced.
“You can quickly climb the table with a win, but also quickly drop towards the bottom with a loss.”
Parma, who hadn’t won since Week 2, are joint eighth on nine points thanks to Sunday’s 2-1 home win over Sampdoria yesterday.
“Let’s enjoy this victory, but we have to start thinking about Torino on Tuesday,” continued the stopper.
“They are a newly promoted side with a lot of enthusiasm, they don’t concede many and they have dangerous players in attack.
“Their Coach, Giampiero Ventura, is also one who gets his team to play good football.”
