Ironically, Zaccagni is reported to be in talks to move under the Vesuvius next season.

The Azzurri are close to reaching an agreement in the region of €13m to sign the player who, however, would move to the Stadio Maradona at the end of the current campaign.

His agent Tullio Tinti said on Tuesday Zaccagni “will certainly find space at one of the big Italian clubs in June, as Hellas Verona cannot keep him.”

Hellas coach Ivan Juric did not take the agent’s words well.

“I don’t like it when they talk about Verona in this way,” he said on the eve of the game.

“For me, it’s a lack of respect. I don’t see other teams selling. I don’t like that talk.”

Today, Zaccagni made up for his agent’s words with Juric who praised him.

“He is not the best player I’ve coached, but he’s improved so much.

“He is a different player compared to one year and a half ago. He’s always been smart, but he is becoming a leader now, he must continue because he has room for improvement.”
