Ashley Young was exhilarated after Inter won his first Milan Derby 4-2. “I don’t think it gets any better than that. I’m loving every minute of my time here.”

The former Manchester United wing-back arrived in January and has already become a regular in Antonio Conte’s line-up.

He played in last night’s thriller, when the Nerazzurri fought back from 2-0 down to beat Milan 4-2 in front of 75,000 at San Siro.

The former Manchester United wing-back arrived in January and has already become a regular in Antonio Conte’s line-up.

He played in last night’s thriller, when the Nerazzurri fought back from 2-0 down to beat Milan 4-2 in front of 75,000 at San Siro.

“I think it was an incredible feeling,” Young told talkSPORT presenter Jim White.

“You could see the way we celebrated after the game showed the character and strength we’ve got.

“To go 2-0 down in a derby like that then come back and win, that shows our character. It was an unbelievable experience.”

Young was asked if this was one of the most memorable moments of his career and had to agree.

“It definitely is. I came here to play football and win games, and when you come and win in the Milan derby in the way we did, it’s just an incredible feeling.

“I don’t think it gets any better than that.”

The 34-year-old is the first Englishman to wear the Inter jersey since Paul Ince, but insists it is a natural progression from Manchester United.

“It’s not strange at all. I wanted a new challenge and I’ve got a new challenge and I’m loving every minute of my time out here.

“And, like I said, yesterday was an unbelievable feeling and I’m delighted we got the three points.”

Christian Eriksen, also experiencing his first taste of Italian football after a January transfer, was inclined to agree.
