Amin Younes’ agent assures he’s “motivated” to play for Napoli once he recovers from his injury.
The winger was set to join the Partenopei for a nominal fee in January, having already signed a pre-contract deal to move from Ajax.
Despite being in Naples to sign though, the German international performed a U-turn to stay in the Netherlands, and it then appeared he was trying to get out of moving to Serie A.
Younes has turned up to pre-season, but he will be out for several months with an achilles injury.

“He’s started his rehabilitation,” agent Nicola Innocentin told Radio Crc.
“Now that he’s living the atmosphere of the dressing room his motivation has increased too, we hope he’ll recover as soon as possible.
“Amin is very happy, to have contact with a Coach like [Carlo] Ancelotti is another motivation, though obviously he’s suffering a bit with being injured. Ancelotti’s arrival certainly gave him more motivation to join the Azzurri.
“The expectation was to bring him in right away in January but it didn’t happen. Now there’s the injury but I don’t think Napoli are thinking the same way.
“The Coach and the club will evaluate when he has recovered, but I think Napoli bought him to use him.”
