Former Napoli midfielder Hassan Yebda alleges that the club still owes him €100,000.

The Algerian international spent a season on loan at San Paolo in the 2010-11 season, and believes he is still due a bonus from that time.

“I had a bonus of around €100,000 if I played more than 20 games,” Yebda claimed, speaking to Il Mattino.

“In that magical season I reached that total, but I’ve never been paid that sum. I always believed that we’d find a solution and Napoli would pay me.

“I reached President [Aurelio] De Laurentiis once by telephone, he said he couldn’t talk and to call him back.

“Then he told me that he only deals with film and not with the football side of things, but I know fine well that’s not true and I took it badly.

“I had a great relationship with him, so I was very disappointed.

“Why did I wait until I left? It was four or five months after I left Napoli that I noticed the failure to make the transfer. I spoke to the club and I was told I was right, but that I had to wait.

“They proposed a figure of a much lower offer than I was due, which I refused but certainly not for financial reasons.

“It’s not about money, but about professionalism. It hurt me, because I’m a fan of Napoli and a professional."
