Sampdoria’s Pawel Wszolek says he has thoroughly enjoyed his time with the Blucerchiati so far, though admits he must do better in future.

The 21-year-old cited Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic, his teammates and the club’s fans as the key factors behind him settling into life in Genoa.

“The boss helps me so much,” Wszolek told Sampdoria Magazine. “He inspires me to do better and I am very grateful for the chances he has given me so far.

“Even so, I am not happy with how I have been playing, especially in recent games. I can and must do better.

“We are a fantastic group, we are very united. We have already got to 40 points so we are very relaxed.

“There is a great atmosphere around and we must continue like that.

“The fans are our twelfth man on the pitch, they are fantastic.

“They follow and support us everywhere, they have welcomed me very well and I hope to repay them with a goal soon.

“The club is like a big family, I want to stay here for many years and reclaim a starting position.”
