Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini is starting to fear relegation and was asked if Giuseppe Sannino is at risk. “I prefer to get drunk than answer that.”

The Sicilians ended a run of two consecutive defeats, but were pegged back to a late 1-1 draw by Cagliari on Saturday. It included this bizarre Michael Agazzi scorpion flick save (see VIDEO).

“I will watch the game again, but I am worried,” confessed Zamparini on Mediaset Premium.

“I am worried we’re going to get relegated.”

The fiery patron has repeatedly defended Coach Sannino, but his resolve is starting to crack.

“Is Sannino at risk? I prefer to get drunk rather than answer that question.”

The tactician was more confident after picking up one point from the first three rounds.

“I am relaxed and have been for seven years,” smiled ex-Siena boss Sannino.

“I was also happy with the way the players interpreted the game. I understand it is the job of journalists to go beyond the field and try to stir up stories, but this soap opera of Zamparini being a President who fires everyone has gone on for too long.”
