German club Wolfsburg have reportedly offered €30m for Roma and Italy striker Mattia Destro.

The hitman recovered from a serious knee injury to net 13 goals in 19 Serie A games this season, earning a place in the provisional World Cup squad.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the 23-year-old has caught the attention of Bundesliga side Wolfsburg.

The proposal on the table is said to be €30m plus a contract worth €3m per season for the former Inter and Siena player.

That would practically double the wages he currently earns at the Stadio Olimpico.

Wolfsburg scouts had already watched Destro last season before his injury problems and have revived their interest.

However, Destro is reportedly eager to remain at Roma and have his say in the Champions League.
