Mangia only put pen to paper on a one-year deal which has left his future in some doubt given that he’s been linked with a move to Verona.

“There is a European Championship to play,” he stated when questioned about a possible renewal with the Italian Football Federation.

“We’ll talk about that in the future, but I certainly won’t rule out the possibility of remaining in charge of the national side.”

Mangia’s Italy have been placed in Group A and will face hosts Israel, England and Norway. The competition will take place between June 5 and 18.
