Federico Chiesa’s future is increasingly likely to be away from Juventus, as Max Allegri has different tactical ideas and they set a €60m asking price for Liverpool, Newcastle United and more.

The Italy international has never disguised his growing frustration with the constant chopping and changing of tactical systems and therefore roles under Allegri.

It seems the news on that front is not good, as Sky Sport Italia claim Allegri has decided to stick with a basic 3-5-2 from next season and that means a wide position that doesn’t suit Chiesa’s strengths, forcing him to cover the entire flank.

La Gazzetta dello Sport argue that Juventus have set an asking price of circa €60m before they will even consider letting Chiesa leave.

A bid in that region was reportedly put forward this week by Aston Villa, but Chiesa rejected it outright, seeking a more prestigious destination.

It is also why he could be nervous about Newcastle United, especially with rumours that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are interested in snapping him up.

Chiesa’s contract with Juventus runs to June 2025 and his agents suggested a renewal would require €7m per season plus add-ons, the same figure given to Dusan Vlahovic.
