Marcelo Brozovic is still out with a hamstring injury but is expecting to return to action before the World Cup break next month.

The 29-year-old Croatian midfielder suffered the injury whilst on international duty last month, coming off in the 18th minute of a Nations League clash against Austria. Brozovic has missed Inter’s last five games across Serie A and the Champions League, leaving him frustrated on the sidelines as he slowly works to full fitness again.

As highlighted by Calciomercato.com, Brozovic has started working on the sidelines of the pitch again and is hoping to return to squad training in the coming weeks. The Croatian midfielder wants to be fully fit for the Derby d’Italia against Juventus on November 6, although he’ll also try to fit enough to face Bayern Munich on November 1.

Brozovic is a key player in Simone Inzaghi’s Inter squad and his return will give the squad a key boost just ahead of the World Cup break.
