West Ham United are reportedly interested in Roma striker Edin Dzeko, whose contract expires in 2020.
There has been talk of extending the Bosnian’s current deal but lowering his salary, with the club therefore spreading a lower cost over a longer time, while the player is given greater security.
According to calciomercato.com though, the €4m salary Dzeko is requesting is too high, and West Ham are interested in signing him.

The Hammers would be willing to pay around €25m, and that’s a fee that could be considered by the Giallorossi.
Roma only paid €15m for Dzeko, so at the reported figure they’d be making a profit on a player who turns 33 in March.
The English club may also be able to tempt the striker with a director’s role after his playing career, as he recently earned a degree in sports management from the University of Sarajevo.
