Inter are close to securing the services of Joaquin Correa but had previously tried to sign Timo Werner from Chelsea, who reportedly snubbed a move to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

Werner spent one season at Stamford Bridge, scoring 12 goals in 55 appearances with the Blues. This season, the 25-year-old is expected to get less playing time as Romelu Lukaku has joined the Premier League giants from Inter.

According to Bild journalist Christian Falk, Werner could have travelled the opposite direction, swapping Chelsea with Inter, but the Germany striker decided to remain at Stamford Bridge, where his contract expires in June 2025.

Correa from Lazio to Inter almost a done deal

Inter are now close to finalising a deal for Lazio striker Correa who would reunite with Simone Inzaghi at Inter.

Correa was not even on the bench in Lazio’s opening Serie A fixture against Empoli on Saturday and is believed to have already agreed personal terms with the Nerazzurri. The Serie A champions are close to securing his services for €30m plus bonuses.

  1. Thank god he decided to stay at the bridge, his form and confidence is so low right now, what were inter thinking?

  2. The guy is garbage. His pace and work rate are useful, but he’s such an awful footballer. Even at Leipzig he missed chances for fun and couldn’t trap a ball.

  3. I don’t believe this news…Timo is far quality away of Klinsmann or Matthaus…In EPL he scored less…he will be even more difficult to score in Serie A

  4. The young german players are weaker compared to the previous generation who where strong and powerful just take a look how quickly their national team has declined.
The PL can have all of the germans they want as long as they stay out of italy

  5. @Sempre italia…fully agree. I also would like to add that the current generation of players are not comparable with greatness of older generations, there are so many things that I miss a lot.
