Some reports yesterday had suggested that the Brazilian team had gone off the idea of signing the Rossoneri forward.

But the owner of the Timao has conceded that the are still considering a move for the injury-prone goalscorer.

“There have been initial talks and we've looked at Pato,” he told reporters. “There has been nothing more.

“Let's see what happens – but we are only in the early stages.

“It is as if I had invited a woman for dinner – we went on a first date. I do not want to create expectations, but we have cash available and are considering our options.”
