Tottenham defender Benoit Assou-Ekotto has insisted that his side have to score at San Siro if they want to beat Inter in the Europa League.

The north London club defeated the Nerazzurri 3-0 in the first leg of their last 16 encounter on Thursday evening.

But the 28-year-old has claimed that they will have to get at least one goal in the away fixture if they are to make the quarter-finals.

“We played a really good game with a great intensity,” he told the club's official website. “We looked dangerous.

“It was important for us to get an early goal because Italian teams are very experienced and know how to manage games.

“Then once we got that goal it made the game more open.

“We will have to get a goal at San Siro – that will hurt them.”
