Inter legend Marco Materazzi reacted to Mario Balotelli’s claims that he has the same quality as Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo: ‘Chill out, little brother.’

Balotelli compared himself to the Argentinean and Portuguese superstars in an interview with The Athletic.

“I am 100 per cent sure that my quality is the same level as these people, but I… I missed some chances, you know? It happens,” he said.

“Nowadays, I cannot say I’m as good as Ronaldo, because Ronaldo won how many golden balls (Ballons d’Or)? Five? You cannot compare yourself to Messi and Ronaldo, nobody can. But if we’re talking about only quality, football quality, I have nothing to be jealous of them, to be honest.”

  1. To be honest, I agree with him. If anything, it was his pranks that caused him problems. He is now grown up and possibly understands where he went wrong. Every time he played for Italy, he always gave his best. If anything, he did not play as good for his clubs compared to his country. He is absolutely right not to be envious of Ronaldo and Messi. He still has a good 5 years in him to turn things around for the public to start liking him again. Forza Mario, I and many others believe in you.

  2. @ I MISS JUVENTUS IN SERIE B- Before you called someone delusion look at yourself from head to toe.

Mario is a guy that is just being himself, you guys just hate him for nothing, the hatred you guys have for him is enough to make someone fall into depression, but he is a strong guy and he is still standing, and guess what ? he is back in the national.

  3. He’s not near Messi nor Ronaldo. However…in my opinion…he is probably the most talented footballer to never reach his full potential nor anywhere near it.
