England and Arsenal’s Theo Walcott will miss the rest of the season and the World Cup after suffering a knee injury.
The pacy forward picked up an anterior cruciate ligament tear in the Gunners’ 2-0 win over rivals Tottenham in the FA Cup on Saturday.
And the Emirates outfit have confirmed this evening that the 24-year-old will require surgery and will sit out the next six months.

And the Emirates outfit have confirmed this evening that the 24-year-old will require surgery and will sit out the next six months.
"Theo has sustained a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament of his left knee,” the north London side said on their official website.
"He will have surgery in the near future and is expected to be out for at least six months, thus missing the rest of the season and the World Cup.”
Walcott will not be at Brazil where the Three Lions play Italy, Uruguay and Costa Rica in the group stages.
