Sime Vrsaljko’s agent says his client would relish a move to Fiorentina but insists he has not heard from the Viola.

The Genoa full-back has recently returned home after being on World Cup duty with Croatia, with Sassuolo another club thought to be interested in securing his services.

However, in an interview with FirenzeViola.it, Giuseppe Riso revealed that despite the interest of several clubs in Vrsaljko, no official offers have yet been submitted for him.

“I don’t have any new developments,” he said. “Honestly, since Sime’s name has been linked to Fiorentina I have never spoken to any director from that club.

“I know that a lot of clubs like the boy, with Sassuolo being one of them. Again though I have not heard from anyone from the Neroverdi and I don’t think any official offer has been made to Genoa.

“I haven’t spoken to any other club, either in Italy or abroad.

“Without doubt, Fiorentina would be a destination my client would relish a lot. They are a great team and we will see what happens in the coming weeks.”
