Emiliano Viviano is no closer to completing his dream move to Fiorentina, Palermo have confirmed on Tuesday.

The goalkeeper is co-owned by Palermo and Inter, but while the Rosanero are ready to loan him for free to the Viola, Inter are not.

Palermo and Inter held further discussions today, but an agreement has yet to be reached between all parties.

“We’re not close or far away, we are in nothing,” Palermo official Giorgio Perinetti told Sky Sport Italia.

“Fiorentina are just spectating and it will be hard to close a deal with such a stance. The only option now is that we buy Inter’s half in him and then send him on to Fiorentina.”

The Tuscan club are looking for a new goalkeeper after the departure of Polish international Artur Boruc.
