Sporting CP have given the all-clear for Emiliano Viviano to join SPAL on loan, with a medical tomorrow or Friday.
According to Sportitalia, a deal has been done today for the six-month loan.
The 33-year-old is expected to be in Italy over the next 48 hours for his medical and to sign the contract.
Viviano was sold to Sporting Lisbon by Sampdoria over the summer, but never actually played for the Portuguese club, as they were tormented by a change of President, Coach and many of the players.
