Sampdoria goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano is reported to be on the verge of a transfer to Sporting CP in Portugal.

According to Sky Sport Italia and Portuguese paper A Bola, Viviano is very close to a €3m switch to Sporting this summer.

He still has a three-year contract in place with Samp, but a crisis summit is planned over the next few days.

While Sassuolo and newly promoted Parma are also interested in Viviano, it is believed he’d favour Sporting Lisbon.

It would be the 32-year-old’s second stint abroad after the 2013-14 season at Arsenal.
