Fiorentina’s Massimo Ambrosini says his side must learn the art of winning while not playing well if they are to be successful.

The veteran midfielder is out of contract at the Artemio Franchi in the summer but is still unsure as to where his future lies.

“Until now my Viola experience has been positive from every aspect,” Ambrosini told Radio Blu.

“I’ve been happy in Florence from the very beginning and I am happy to be here.

“Fiorentina must be in the best shape possible to win even when we are not playing well. If you only win when playing well it can be a handicap.

“The target for every player is to play as many matches as possible. The Coppa Italia final will be amazing, we will take a lot of fans to Rome and it will really be a spectacle.

“We hope to bring joy to all of Florence. I hope to play, but what is most important is the wellbeing of Fiorentina.

“My future? I think that the club are already looking to the future. There will be time for me to talk to the club soon.

“I’ve always said what my preferred option would be but in football both parties need to be in agreement.”
