The Italy international continues his career path of infuriating various tacticians and a documentary on Vieira’s experience at Nice highlighted more instances of his temper.

“When it comes to Mario, I want to answer back, or just slam him up against the wall or leave him hanging by his collar on the coat rack, but I can’t, as I’m no longer a player,” confessed Vieira to L’Equipe.

“I have to think twice before I say anything, because it can have an impact and I risk losing a great player. I don’t want to say something I’ll regret.

“I am trying to be constructive in my comments to him.”

According to the Journal du Dimanche newspaper, there were another two incidents that hadn’t until now made the headlines.

It’s well known that Balotelli stormed off when substituted against Nimes on November 10, but it’s claimed he then smashed up the locker room and refused to clean it up.

In another more recent occasion, during a 0-0 draw with Guingamp, Balo reportedly walked out in the middle of Vieira’s team talk so he could go to the toilet.

Balotelli has not scored a single Ligue 1 goal this season.
