Nemanja Vidic could be sent back to Manchester United just six months after his transfer to Inter.

The veteran defender had left Old Trafford when his contract expired over the summer, but has struggled to adapt to Serie A with a series of errors.

He has been dropped to the bench since Roberto Mancini took over from Walter Mazzarri last month and is on the transfer list.

According to today’s edition of the Star on Sunday newspaper, Vidic could return on loan or see his contract rescinded early so he could move as a free agent.
