Speaking at a Press conference today, the experienced defender also revealed that though he has not yet met Nerazzurri President Erick Thohir, he is excited about the project taking place at the club.

Speaking at a Press conference today, the experienced defender also revealed that though he has not yet met Nerazzurri President Erick Thohir, he is excited about the project taking place at the club.
“This project is a step forwards for me,” Vidic told reporters. “English football is different, but that doesn’t mean to say that Italian football will be easier.
“I haven’t spoken directly to Thohir, but I have spoken to Ausilio and Fassone who put the project forward to me.
“They showed enthusiasm, I know that the President wants us to grow with a long-term project.
“He wants to keep Inter in a high position and I share his project. When I went to Manchester United there was a new project too. Now I am happy to be here.”
Vidic also brushed aside questions asking whether he will immediately be made Inter captain.
“The first thing I need to do is to earn a place on the pitch. I’ve always given my best regardless of the captaincy.”
