Former Udinese left-back and Italy U21 international Destiny Udogie has drawn praise for his attacking contribution during Tottenham’s 2-0 win over Manchester United on Saturday afternoon.
A clip posted by Spurs’ official social media accounts highlighted Udogie’s positioning as he weaved his way through the middle of the park, leaving an impressed club commentator to say: “this is the left-back, look at the position, look at the run.”
As well as his creativity on the ball, Udogie also played a major role in helping Ange Postecoglu’s side to a clean sheet over United, in what was is second Premier League start for the club.
Udogie and Tottenham sit fifth in the Premier League table after the first two games of the season thanks to Saturday’s win and the opening day draw against Brentford the week prior.
