Luciano Spalletti has arrived in Naples and met Aurelio De Laurentiis, with whom he will discuss the club’s transfer strategies for the summer.

Spalletti has signed a two-year deal with the Partenopei and arrived at Napoli‘s Afragola train station at 12 pm UK time.

The Italian tactician refused to reply to questions from journalists while on his way to a private car where De Laurentiis was waiting for him.

They headed to Napoli’s training centre in Castel Volturno, where they will discuss the club’s transfer strategies for the summer.

“We are here with our new coach and there is great optimism,” De Laurentiis said once they arrived at Castel Volturno with his son Edoardo.

“First of all, I want to tell ‘Forza Napoli’ to the fans, as they say: ‘I will be with you,'” added Spalletti.

The Tuscan mentioned the ultras motto: ‘Sarò con te’ (I will be with you) and added: “I am honoured to be the new Napoli coach, I will give my best.

“I’ve loved the cities where I’ve worked, I am looking forward to knowing Napoli.”

The Azzurri also announced they will play a friendly against Bayern Munich on July 31 at the Allianz Arena.
