Fiorentina right-back Dodo began running on the grass on Monday, the first time he has been able to step out onto the pitch since suffering a cruciate ligament injury in the early stages of the 2023-24 season.
The 24-year-old was ruled out for a significant part of the season when he picked up a serious knee injury against Udinese in September. Though he has made progress in his recovery, Dodo will still not return until 2024.
Videos of his first outdoor session were circulated online on Tuesday, which Dodo then reposted to his Instagram story.
Under a clip shared by fan page Viola 12, Dodo then promised that he will return to the pitch with his hair dyed purple in a tribute to the Fiorentina colours.
