Antonio Conte admits he’d like to work with Christian Eriksen again after they had a ‘good time at Inter.’

The Denmark international joined Brentford after terminating his contract with Inter by mutual agreement.

Eriksen has a heart restarter implanted and he can’t play with such a device in Serie A. That’s why Inter and the 29-year-old decided to part ways at the end of the year.

Eriksen joined Antonio Conte’s Inter in a €20m deal from Tottenham in January 2020 and the Italian tactician hopes to work with him again in the future.

“For sure, Eriksen is part of Tottenham’s story and to come back here could be a good opportunity for me, him and the club,” he said at a press conference.

“I am the first person to be happy to see him again on the pitch. We spent a good time at Inter, we won the league and we spent two important seasons together and I wish him the best. You don’t know what can happen in the future. It’d be good for me to have him again and work together.”

Eriksen signed a six-month contract with Brentford with an option for a further season.
