Premier League club Brentford have announced the signing of former Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen.

The Denmark international terminated his contract with the Nerazzurri in December.

He is not allowed to play in Serie A with a heart defibrillator implanted, therefore the Serie A champions reached an agreement to end their agreement with Eriksen by mutual agreement at the end of last year.

The 29-year-old has now joined Brentford signing a contract until the end of the season.

“Brentford FC can confirm the signing of Denmark international midfield player Christian Eriksen, subject to international clearance,” a club statement read.

“The 29-year-old signed his contract after completing a medical assessment. He has signed until the end of the 2021/22 season.”

Brentford announced the deal with a video posted on their social media accounts.

Eriksen scored eight goals in 60 appearances with Inter in his one-year and a half spell at San Siro.

  1. Inter were unfortunate to lose Eriksen like this, for free, after paying 27M to Spurs for his transfer…

    Wishing him best of luck!
