Agent Tullio Tinti not only confirmed Inter are close to Sampdoria goalkeeper Emil Audero, but also stated Simone Inzaghi ‘has already agreed’ a new contract to June 2025.

The representative was spotted leaving the club headquarters this evening and stopped briefly to speak with reporters outside.

He confirmed the rumours that he was there to discuss a move for Samp goalkeeper Audero, who is expected to arrive on loan with option to buy, with Filip Stankovic going the other way to Marassi.

“That is more than an idea. It’s an important opportunity for Audero and for Inter,” said the agent.

Tinti was also asked about coach Inzaghi’s situation, with a contract that runs to June 2024.

“It was already done during the pre-season tour of Asia. It just needs to be formalised, it will be a one-year renewal.”

In two years with the Nerazzurri, Inzaghi has won two editions of the Coppa Italia and two Supercoppa Italiana trophies, also taking his men to the Champions League Final.
