Barcelona President Josep Maria Bartomeu has hinted that Inter target Arturo Vidal will stay put this winter, saying “we can’t afford to lose anyone.”
Vidal has been linked with moves away from Barca, and reports have suggested that Antonio Conte is ready to be reunited with the ex-Juventus midfielder at San Siro.
He will be there on Tuesday, but still as a Blaugrana player, when Inter fight for a place in the last 16 of the Champions League.
“We are not expecting any movement in January,” Bartomeu told La Repubblica.

“We have a balanced squad; we don’t lack anything, but we can’t afford to lose anyone.
“It has happened several times to me already [a player showing a desire to be transferred].
“Never in January, but at the end of the season. In some cases, we let them go. Other times, we convince them to stay.”
Lautaro Martinez has been a prolific performer for the Nerazzurri this season, so could he replace Luis Suarez as Barca’s No 9?
“That question is a trap. I can say that Inter are playing very well and he is not the only one to have impressed me.
“It’s no coincidence that the Nerazzurri are top in Serie A.”
