The French club presented what director Leonardo called “a very interesting offer” for Uruguayan striker Cavani.

This would suggest it is not the €63m cash that would activate his buy-out clause.

Sky Sport Italia claimed on Tuesday evening that Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis had requested Verratti as part of an exchange.

It would be an impressive move for the Partenopei, as Verratti is already a full Italy international at age 20 and nicknamed the ‘new Andrea Pirlo.’

Verratti only joined PSG last summer from hometown club Pescara for €12m, but there have been reports of problems in contract renegotiations.
