PSG and Italy midfielder Marco Veratti has hit back at the Press and his agent over claims he is seeking a move away from PSG.

There has been interest in the player from Juventus and Milan, with Inter reportedly the latest to consider a bid for the 23-year-old, with Le Parisien announcing that Nerazzurri representatives had met with his agent.

Transfer rumours have been fuelled by reports of a rift between Veratti and PSG Coach Unai Emery, but the player has strongly refuted any such claims.

"This week people have said so many things about me that are not true," Veratti told goal.com. "Things that have simply not happened.

"Against Marseille I took a knock in the first half, so it was decided by the Coach Emery to take me off after 15 minutes of the restart.

"The medical staff did not want to take any risks because I have come through a difficult period with injury, and they are always very attentive to my health.

"It has been said that I was angry with my coach because I did not want to leave the pitch. It is not true. I was angry with myself because I wanted to help the team and having to leave the pitch due to a physical problem was unthinkable for me.

"I met with the Coach the next day and we could not figure out what was going on. We did not understand how it led to controversy over the situation.

"When I left the field I put my hand over her my mouth to say, 'Mister, I feel good, I can continue'. The technician told me that he thought I was not doing so well. After he removed his hand from his mouth I said: 'You said I'm not good'. But he meant physically, not in the way I played. Actually he was right."

The highly-rated midfielder then went on to slam the Press and his agent, and was keen to defend his character after he said they 'went too far'.

"I do not like when reporters create controversy where there isn’t any. I respect the opinions of journalists and often agree with them on criticism regarding how I play.

"But I do not accept that things are put in my mouth that I did not say. I have heard that I do not have a good relationship with the Coach and I have already decided to go elsewhere. Once again I say that is not true.

"Unai Emery works a lot and it's not his fault that we have made a medicore start to the season. We, as players, go on the pitch and we have to take responsibility.

"It has gone a bit too far this week and my agent has also gone too far in saying that I could leave the club. I am not here to convince journalists. I'm here to do my best for PSG .

"I never had any problems here for 5 years, so it hurts me to see it said that I'm  selfish, a spoiled brat, one that does not have any respect for people.

"I love the club, I like my teammates, you can ask anyone and I do not think they will say negative things about me.”
