Marco Verratti took part in full training today, suggesting he’ll be fit to start Saturday’s Italy-England clash.

The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder has been suffering from the flu in recent days, but returned to training on Wednesday and was again present this morning.

It has been reported Verratti’s fitness will determine not only the starting XI against England, but also the Azzurri’s tactical shape.

If the 21-year-old is ready, then Italy are expected to use a 4-1-3-1-1 system with Verratti and Andrea Pirlo as joint playmakers and Daniele De Rossi protecting the defence.
