Marco Verratti believes “Antonio Conte is the right man for the Italy job. With him, you play if you deserve it.”
The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder spoke to reporters at a charity event in his home town of Pescara today.
“I think Conte is the right man for the Italy job,” said Verratti ahead of next summer’s Euro 2016 tournament.
“He is the Coach we needed to lift Italy back up after some negative results. Conte doesn’t hold back with anyone and also isn’t interested if you are 20 or 30 years old.

“With him, you play if you deserve it. Just having a famous name isn’t enough for him, you have to train hard and earn your place.
“He is often quite hard on us, but he does it for our own good.”
