It’s reported Verona have decided to exercise their €3m buy-out clause for Romulo from Fiorentina.

The Brazilian had such an impressive season at the Bentegodi on loan that he was included in Italy’s 30-man provisional squad for the World Cup.

According to La Nazione newspaper, Fiorentina set the buy-out clause at just €3m, unaware his star would rise so rapidly in 12 months.

Verona are expected to pay the sum, but could then entertain higher offers from other clubs over the summer.

Hellas have similar plans with Juan Manuel Iturbe, who spent this season on loan from Porto and has attracted interest from all over Europe.
