Speaking to Radio 1, the National team boss put forward his views on Icardi, who has encountered huge problems with the clubs Ultras, and once again left the door open for Mario Balotelli in the squad.

Speaking to Radio 1, the National team boss put forward his views on Icardi, who has encountered huge problems with the clubs Ultras, and once again left the door open for Mario Balotelli in the squad.
"It’s a difficult time for everyone. Icardi has put himself in this position. De Boer is less culpable, he was only called in this season and it's not easy for a foreign Coach.
“He does not speak Italian, and does not know Serie A very well, he needs time to understand at least where happened and what to do in Italy."
The 68-year-old also gave his views on striker Mario Balotelli, who has enjoyed an upturn in form at new club Nice.
"Balotelli? He is a player of enormous quality that is held back by the way that he is, and it does not put him in a position to give his best.
"Nothing is excluded from anyone, doors are open to all those that are part of a team.
"Balotelli needs to make the plunge, and to make his qualities available to the team and not the opposite.
