Giampiero Ventura felt Torino deserved their Milan point after “a very difficult week,” but felt bad for Alessio Cerci.
The Granata fought back from a Carlos Bacca goal for the 1-1 draw with Daniele Baselli.
“It’s difficult to judge this performance, as it was a very difficult week,” the Coach told Mediaset Premium.
“Over the last 15 days we’ve lost 10 players to injury. On Wednesday we weren’t even sure we could field 11 players.

“Alessandro Gazzi was at 40 per cent tonight and Giuseppe Vives practically hasn’t trained at all this week. I thank Baselli, who gave his all despite not training for five days.
“It is gratifying to work with this squad. In any case, it was a deserved point, but we are certainly capable of doing a lot better than this.”
Andrea Belotti came off the bench and his first touch was an assist for the equaliser.
“I had to change something. We were suffering from both physical and psychological fatigue. There are regrets over the course of the season to keep dropping points like this.”
Cerci started for Milan and was jeered throughout by his former fans.
“It was a shame to hear that. He has quality and when he decides to get into gear, he becomes a very important player for any team.”
Ventura was asked if he’ll extend his contract with Torino or maybe consider the Italy job after Antonio Conte and Euro 2016.
“I have a rapport with President Urbano Cairo that goes beyond the professional realm. In these four years we built something great, climbing from Serie B.
“As for the Nazionale, I think I’m 26th in line…”
